Ranveer alleged that Farhan had put the film on hold.
The long-lasting feud between Bollywood stars Ranveer Singh and Farhan Akhtar has finally reached a peaceful conclusion.
The two actors have officially decided to bury the hatchet after a major disagreement over the movie Don 3.
This conflict began when Ranveer unexpectedly left the project after the massive success of the film Dhurandhar.
Farhan Akhtar was reportedly very angry because his production house had already invested heavily in pre-production.
Recent reports suggest that Ranveer has now returned his signing amount of “Rs 10 crores”.
The actor also offered a financial stake in his upcoming project, which is currently being titled Pralay tentatively.
This generous offer was made to compensate for the “Rs 40 crores” spent by Excel Entertainment on the movie.
Farhan and his partner Ritesh Sidhwani had previously escalated the matter to the Producers Guild of India for resolution.
A report mentioned:”Producers Guild of India asked both parties to pursue legal recourse in the issue.”
Excel Entertainment claimed that Ranveer had approved every stage of the pre-production before he decided to leave suddenly.
On the other hand, Ranveer alleged that Farhan had put the film on hold due to his career slump.
The specific percentage of the stake in the film Pralay has not been disclosed to the public as yet.
This resolution marks a significant turning point for both the actor and the director after months of public tension.
Fans of the Don franchise were left disappointed when the news of Ranveer leaving the third instalment first broke.
The exit happened right after the release of the action film Dhurandhar, which was a massive hit at theatres.
Farhan felt that the sudden departure was unfair, given the time and money already spent on the script development.
Now, Ranveer Singh appears eager to move past this controversy and maintain a professional relationship with the filmmaker.
The upcoming film Pralay is now generating a lot of interest within the industry because of this new arrangement.
Industry experts believe that this settlement will help both stars focus on their future creative projects without legal burdens.
Excel Entertainment is known for producing high-quality content, and they wanted to ensure their financial interests were protected.
Farhan Akhtar is now free to look for a new lead or rework the plans for the Don series.
Meanwhile, Ranveer Singh is currently busy with several other projects that are expected to be released in the next few years.
