"We still haven’t realised that we are married."
Ranbir Kapoor opened up about his married life, two months after tying the knot with Alia Bhatt.
The Bollywood couple got married on April 14, 2022, in front of approximately 50 guests.
Ranbir and Alia had been dating for five years but the actor admitted there has been no major change since getting married.
He said: “There was no such major change. We are together for five years.
“We thought that if we get married then we have done it, but we also had some commitments.
“The very next day of our marriage, we both left for work. Alia went on her shoot and I had also gone to Manali.
“When she comes back from London and my film Shamshera releases, we are thinking of taking a week off.
“We still haven’t realised that we are married.”
After their marriage, Ranbir began shooting for Animal. Meanwhile, Alia travelled to London to film her Hollywood debut The Heart Of Stone alongside Gal Gadot.
While Alia is exploring Hollywood, Ranbir admitted that he has no plans of doing the same.
He explained: “I don’t have any dreams of Hollywood. I only have dreams of Brahmastra.
“I think original content that is in your culture and is entertaining can touch every audience.”
“Otherwise, I am also very scared of auditions. I have never seen the success and dreams of Alia in anyone else. I am happy where I am.”
On the work front, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s next film is Brahmastra – Part One: Shiva.
It is believed that their time on set together resulted in their relationship.
Brahmastra also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna Akkineni and Mouni Roy.
Based on Indian mythology, the film is set in contemporary India, where a secret society called the Brahmansh has guarded ‘Astras’ created in ancient India for generations.
The most powerful among these, the Brahmastra, is now waking up and it threatens to destroy the universe.
The film is set to release on September 9, 2022.
