Ranbir Kapoor called out for 'Eating Meat' despite Vegetarian Claims- F

"Ranbir Kapoor has the most effective PR."

In 2023, Ranbir Kapoor revealed that he had turned to a vegetarian diet following the birth of his daughter, Raha Kapoor.

During a Q&A with fans, the actor said: “I have changed a lot of my lifestyle.

“I have quit smoking, drinking, and I have become a vegetarian.

“I’m really trying to clean up my life. Trying to be healthy for my kid and myself.”

Ranbir also claimed that his new vegetarian diet was linked to his upcoming role of Rama in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana saga.

However, on November 21, 2025, Netflix released a special documentary called Dining With The Kapoors.

The film explored the fondness that Ranbir and his family shared for food, including meat.

In the documentary, non-vegetarian dishes were seen on Ranbir’s dinner table.

This provoked anger from viewers who criticised the actor for engaging in fake PR.

A clip of Dining With The Kapoors was shared on X. The user wrote:

“Ranbir Kapoor’s PR team claimed he gave up non-vegetarian food out of respect for playing Rama in the Ramayana movie.

“But, he is seen enjoying fish curry, mutton, and paya with his family.

“Ranbir Kapoor has the most effective PR in Bollywood.”

On Reddit, a user commented: “Ranbir has become a PR merchant ever since Ramayana was announced.”

Another said: “We don’t personally judge a man from his eating habits.

“He should do good acting and prove that in the film and story, he is the one for it. That’s all we want.

“But when your own PR tried to glorify yourself in leaving non-veg for the film just to get it hyped and promoted, but you are caught lying.

“Then, bro, that is wrong on so many levels.

“This has created mistrust in the film now.”

Before Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva (2022) was released, Ranbir faced similar criticism for his non-vegetarian tendencies.

An old interview resurfaced, in which he was seen enjoying a beef burger.

He said: “I’m a big beef guy.”

Along with Ranbir Kapoor, the Ramayana series also stars Yash, Sai Pallavi, Ravie Dubey, and Sunny Deol.

The first part is scheduled to be released during Diwali 2026.

While the second instalment was expected to be released on Diwali 2027, it was recently reported that it may be delayed due to Ranbir’s commitment to Love & War.

Love & War stars Ranbir Kapoor with his wife, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal.

It reunites him with his first director, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, and is scheduled to be released on August 14, 2025.
