Priyanka Mohan experienced a close call during an event in Telangana when the stage she was on collapsed.
The actress was at a mall opening when the accident happened, resulting in minor injuries.
Alongside Priyanka, Congress leader Hanumandla Jhansi Reddy, sustained injuries during the incident.
Following the event, Priyanka took to X to reassure her fans about her well-being.
She stated: “In light of the accident that occurred at an event I had attended in Torrur today, I wanted to let my well-wishers know that I’m okay and was lucky to escape with minor injuries.
“My prayers and wishes for a speedy recovery to those who may have suffered any injuries in the incident.
“I would like to thank everyone for the kind messages of love and care they sent my way, Thank you.”
The stage collapse caused panic among the attendees, with reports indicating that approximately 10 individuals were present on stage at the time.
Immediate action was taken by police and security personnel, who rushed to the scene.
Videos circulating on social media show Priyanka being escorted to her car with the help of security officials after the accident. The cause of the stage collapse remains unclear.
The seriousness of the incident was highlighted by the fact that Jhansi Reddy was quickly transported to the hospital for treatment.
Fans criticised the organisers of the event for not being careful while having the stage set up.
