Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra, is producing her first Marathi film and is said to be lending her voice for a special track in the production.
Priyanka will debut her Marathi production called Ventilator, produced by her home production company, Purple Pebble Pictures.
This will be the company’s first-ever production, as well as Priyanka’s first Marathi film as a producer.
The direction is done by Rajesh Mapuskar, who is known for his film Ferrari Ki Sawaari.
Priyanka announced that the shooting for the film had begun in February, earlier this month.
The Bajirao Mastani star has already proved that she is an amazingly talented actress in Bollywood and international films.
She has also shown off her singing skills in international singles such as Exotic and In My City, as well as Hindi film, Dil Dhadakne Do.
Now, PeeCee is all set to take the mike again.
She is yet to decide if she will sing in Hindi or Marathi, but the song is said to potentially be used as a promotional track for the upcoming film.
As well as singing for Ventilator, Priyanka will also make a guest appearance to play a small part in the film.
In an interview with SpotboyE, she said: “The team is working and we are in the process of developing content.”
“For now, my Marathi film Ventilator is nearly complete and my Punjabi one is going in floors in Vancouver next week.”
“Slowly I’ll announce more films.”
In an interview with Mumbai Mirror, the actress said: “Ventilator, directed by Rajesh Mapuskar has my name attached to it, so I have to be comfortable with everything that’s happening.”
While the main cast of the production has not yet been announced, the film will feature many Marathi film and theatre actors.
Besides this, she is busy starring in the second season of American television series, Quantico.
Priyanka will next be seen in her highly anticipated film, Baywatch, featuring Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron, which will release next year.
