Parineeti Chopra grew nostalgic about her internship days at Yash Raj Films, which led Aditya Chopra to offer her a three-film deal.

"I would line up interviews for these actors."

Parineeti Chopra recollected her days as an intern at Yash Raj Films (YRF).

The actress began her film career in 2011. However, her association with YRF started long before her big screen debut.

Parineeti signed up as an intern in the YRF Marketing and Public Relations division.

Her responsibilities included overseeing promotional activities and lining up interviews with established actors.

Delving into her days as an intern, Parineeti Chopra said:

“I did promotions for Rani Mukerji for Dil Bole Hadippa, Deepika Padukone and Neil Nitin Mukesh for Lafangey Parindey, and Anushka and Shahid Kapoor for their film Badmaash Company.

“I would line up interviews for these actors and order coffees for them.

“My final film as an intern at the studio was Band Baaja Baarat.

“A few days later, after I left the job, I got a call from Adi (Aditya Chopra) and I wondered why he was calling.

“He sat me down and told me that he wanted to sign a three-film deal at Yash Raj.

“I kept wondering what was happening.”

Parineeti auditioned for the YRF casting director Shanoo Sharma, unaware that Aditya Chopra had asked for it.

The actress continued: “When [Aditya] saw the video, he felt I could be an actor and so something in this industry.

“He just signed me for a three-film deal. I was on Ladies vs Ricky Bahl a month later.”

Parineeti’s first three releases were produced by YRF.

These were Ladies vs Ricky Bahl (2011), Ishaqzaade (2012) and Shuddh Desi Romance (2013).

Parineeti married Raghav Chadha in 2023. The former recently opened up about her romance with him.

She explained: “We met at an event in London, and usually, I’d just say hi and move on, but this time, I said, ‘Let’s meet for breakfast’.

“Including our teams, it was around 8-10 of us, and we met at breakfast the next day.

“I had no idea who he was and what he did. I literally looked him up after the breakfast.

“I learned about all the work he’s done, and we realised, not even in weeks, in days, that we would get married.

“I swear, I met Raghav, and within five minutes, I knew I was going to marry this man.”

“Of course, feelings developed and all of that happened, and we used to say, ‘What about children, what about family, what are your values?’

“Even in that interview phase, it was a given that we would marry each other, we learned about each other later.”

On the work front, Parineeti Chopra was last seen in Amar Singh Chamkila (2024).
