Pakistani model Roma Michael came under fire for walking the Miss Grand International 2024 ramp in a bikini.
A video showed Roma in the metallic two-piece introducing:
“Roma Michael, Miss Grand Pakistan.”
With her hair styled in loose curls, Roma strutted down the ramp wearing silver heels.
As another model walked up the ramp, the pair met in the middle and shook their hips.
Roma oozed confidence as she posed on the stage while the crowd cheered.
She shared the video on her Instagram, leading to a mixed reaction.
Some praised Roma for her bikini look, however, many posted indecent comments and hit out at her.
One person wrote: “Great fall of human values.”
Body-shaming her, another said: “This rebranded Indian needs some food she looks horrible, you can find this body on any woman in the common street.”
Remarks such as “shameful” were also directed towards the model.
Others supported Roma and pointed out that other Pakistani models have posed in bikinis before.
However, Roma later deleted the video from her Instagram and many speculated that it was down to the backlash she received.
A comment read: “She participated at Miss World Grand Show.
“She deleted this video from Instagram coz Pakistani people started threatening and abusing her for ruining the name of Pakistan.
“Just another day of the Pakistani Muslim majority controlling the lives of Pakistani minorities.”
Another feared for the pageant model’s safety and commented:
“Hope she is still alive after this.”
A third added: “Hope she stays safe.”
One believed Roma has dual citizenship, writing:
“I can bet she’s a dual citizen and does not live in Pakistan. Just like all of the drama actors there.”
Many did not understand why Roma Michael’s bikini look was hurting many Pakistani sentiments, pointing out that she is a Christian.

Although Roma has deleted the video, others have shared the clip on X.
Roma Michael is an engineer who obtained her degree from the University of South Asia.
However, she had a passion for content creation and quickly gained fame on Instagram as a social media influencer.
Roma currently has over 80,000 Instagram followers.
She has also won several pageants such as Miss Grand Pakistan 2024 and Miss Charm Pakistan 2023.
Roma has also starred in films like Delhi Gate and Kahey Dil Jidher, as well as TV series like Tu Zindagi Hai and Pyari Nimmo.
A popular face in Pakistan, she appeared in TV ads and fashion campaigns for popular brands.
Meanwhile, the Miss Grand International finale will be held on October 25, 2024.
