A group of Pakistani men were captured on camera fighting at a biryani stall.

The incident happened at Karachi’s Nawab Pakwan and Biryani Centre.

Footage showed the group brawling, with each man fending for himself.

Many were using chairs to attack each other while one man appeared to be using a cooking pot as a weapon.

Baffled staff and pedestrians looked on as the fight showed no signs of coming to an end.

Some onlookers filmed the incident on their phones.

A couple of staff members at the biryani stall walked over to try and intervene as the dining area was destroyed during the violence.

However, the large group made it very difficult.

Several men then approached the brawling people and quickly worked to stop the fighting and disperse the group.

One man was seen throwing an object at another person before he was pushed away and told to leave the area.

The good samaritans continued grabbing other men and forcing them to leave the biryani stall, eventually calming the situation down.

Meanwhile, disgruntled staff members shouted at the warring men for fighting and destroying their dining area.

It is not known what sparked the violence but it appeared to have been a fight between diners that escalated.

Staff members were not involved in the mass brawl.

On social media, netizens gave their take on the matter.

One said: “The wreckage will cost more than the bill for biryani.”

Another wrote:

“The visuals really disturb me… now atta won’t be the centre of attention there.”

Criticising the fighting men, one posted: “Sick nation.”

A user sarcastically wrote: “Pakistan has food? And that too biryani?”

Claiming that the brawl was sparked by an unpaid bill, one said:

“These people don’t have any money.”

Viral videos of fights in India and Pakistan are fairly common and sometimes, the matter is related to food.

In December 2023, a wedding in India descended into chaos due to a paneer shortage.

A user on X posted the video of the chaos and claimed that the fight was sparked by a paneer shortage.

Guests were served matar paneer, however, the dish contained no pieces of the Indian cheese.

Guests became angry over the unsatisfying meal and took their frustrations out on each other.

Footage showed attendees picking up chairs and hurling them at each other.
