"She just said what felt true to her.”

Noor Zafar Khan has defended her sister Sarah Khan after Reham Khan criticised Sarah’s comments about feminism.

The controversy stems from an interview in which Sarah said she doesn’t identify as a feminist.

She expressed a preference for traditional gender roles, stating she enjoys staying home and believes men should bear financial responsibilities.

The remarks quickly went viral, drawing both criticism and support online.

Reham Khan, former journalist and ex-wife of Imran Khan, responded strongly.

She accused Sarah of overlooking the historical importance of the feminist movement.

She argued that women like Sarah enjoy freedom in the entertainment industry because of those who fought for gender equality.

Reham’s response, however, took a personal turn when she speculated about Sarah’s daughter’s future.

Reham questioned what would happen if her daughter’s future husband imposed gender-based restrictions on her.

She suggested that Sarah’s views might limit opportunities for her own child and described them as regressive.

This particular line of criticism, especially the mention of Sarah’s three-year-old daughter, sparked a sharp reaction from Noor.

In a statement shared online, Noor said her sister had merely shared a personal opinion without attacking anyone.

She wrote: “She didn’t insult you. She didn’t bring up anyone’s children. She just said what felt true to her.”

Noor further condemned Reham’s approach, saying that invoking a child’s future to discredit a woman’s views crosses the line.

She added: “This isn’t feminism. This is bullying dressed up as activism.”

The actress stressed that genuine feminism uplifts rather than shames women and does not use children as rhetorical tools to win arguments.

Noor Zafar Khan said:

“Real strength doesn’t come from silencing women. It comes from respecting different voices.”

Reham, in her earlier criticism, also commented that Sarah is known primarily through her husband’s public displays of affection.

The public believes that Reham was suggesting that Sarah had benefited from male privilege.

Following Noor Zafar Khan’s Instagram stories, the public stance has shifted against Reham Khan.

Many remarked that Reham was jealous of Sarah Khan’s marital life for needing to point out her husband’s gifts so openly.

A user said: “She’s jealous of Sarah. And I believe there is a reason this woman was married three times.”

One commented: “The grapes are sour.”

Sarah Khan’s comments continue to resonate, highlighting ongoing tension in how feminism is perceived in modern South Asia.
