"Some of India’s biggest actors became insecure"

Television star Nadia Khan accused Indian actors of feeling insecure due to Pakistani celebrities.

During an appearance on the show Kya Darna Hai, Nadia hinted at a conspiracy to ban Pakistani actors from India.

Nadia specifically mentioned the trio of Aamir Khan, Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan as some of the Indian stars whom she felt were insecure.

She said: “When our actors, people like Fawad [Khan], started working in India and gaining massive popularity, some of India’s biggest actors became insecure.

“They made it an issue, and got them banned. It wasn’t like the politicians had issues with our actors.

“It was the Indian stars who felt threatened. They knew that the Indian public would go gaga over our stars, because they’re actually talented.

“They don’t need to show off their bodies; their eyes get the job done, and their dialogue delivery.

“Now, the issue is that the Indian public actually loves our stars.

“You have no idea how popular they are over there. Pakistani shows are made at half the cost of Indian shows.

“And our artists are passionate, they want their work to be seen globally.

“You have no idea what kind of fan-following our stars enjoy there.

“The Khans are insecure. Because they don’t have stars in this age bracket there.”

Fawad Khan was previously asked whether Indian stars felt threatened by him acting in Bollywood.

The actor responded: “How do I know, man? That’s such a heavy question.

“I got a lot of love from India, but look, every industry has its politics.

“In Pakistan as well. But it’s easier to combat in your own industry.

“I’m not saying it’s unheard of – I’m sure it happens everywhere.

“There was one thing, I had PRs, and they used to get angry at this. I was like, ‘I need you to take out my name, not put it in there’.

“I would ask my PR to remove me from places, not put me. My manager would say, ‘You don’t know how the world works’.”

In recent times, Nadia Khan has seen her fair share of controversy.

In March 2024, the audience demanded an apology be made to her when Green TV allegedly directed disrespectful captions at her.

Nadia is best known for presenting Nadia Khan Show, which began in 2006 and had three seasons.

Her latest stint on television was in Wehshi (2022) in which she played Muneera.
