"I’m honestly amused and amazed at the audacity of such people"
Nadia Hussain has accused FIA officials of demanding a Rs 3 crore (£78,000) bribe.
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested her husband, Atif Mohammad Khan, for allegedly embezzling Rs 540 million (£1.4 million).
The arrest followed a formal complaint and an internal probe. However, the case has now taken a controversial turn.
Nadia Hussain accused FIA officials of demanding a huge sum in exchange for leniency.
Hussain took to Instagram to share her outrage, posting audio recordings and WhatsApp screenshots of an individual identified as Nauman Siddiqui.
He was reportedly the director of the Karachi FIA Zone.
She alleged that he contacted her family, attempting to extort money under the guise of offering assistance.
In her post, Hussain expressed disbelief at the situation.
She wrote: “I’m honestly amused and amazed at the audacity of such people to blatantly ask for a Rs3 crore bribe.”
She claimed that officials prey on families during emotional distress, exploiting their desperation for personal gain.
Hussain further revealed that the individual first contacted her son, who then passed along her number.
During their 20-minute conversation, the man allegedly changed his display picture from a civilian in a suit to one in a police uniform.
According to her, he demanded Rs 5 million (£13,000) in cash within 15 minutes.
He instructed her to send it through a driver, with the rest to be paid the following day.
When she refused, he reportedly called her mother-in-law, accusing Hussain of being “rude and disrespectful”.
The official insisted that she was deliberately letting her husband remain in jail.
In a sarcastic tone, Nadia Hussain mocked the official’s claims.
She wrote: “And yes, Nauman bhai! When you swear on the Quran that you are ACTUALLY the FIA director, then I will also keep this conversation private.”

The accusations have sparked widespread discussion, with many questioning the credibility of FIA’s investigative practices.
Authorities have yet to issue an official statement regarding her allegations.
Regarding her husband’s arrest, Nadia Hussain stated:
“My husband is in the custody of FIA only for ‘investigation’ in the fraud case.”
“Regarding the case, were the Alfalah Bank security people sleeping that such a huge fraud took place right under their noses?
“How much my husband was involved, or whether he was involved or not, time will tell.”
While Atif Khan remains in custody as the FIA continues its probe, Nadia Hussain’s claims of bribery have added another layer of controversy.
