The beloved trio of Farhan Ahmed Jovan, Mehazabien Chowdhury, and Probir Roy Chowdhury is set to reunite for Best Friend 2.0.

The trio has been working together since their first project together in 2018.

Their journey began with the popular drama Best Friend, created by Probir Roy Chowdhury.

He crafted a compelling storyline that featured Farhan and Mehazabien as the lead characters.

The drama quickly gained traction and popularity, prompting Probir to expand the narrative into a mini-series that led to the celebrated trilogy.

On November 7, 2024, CMV Entertainment officially announced the reunion, with producer Sheikh Shahed Ali Pappu confirming the news.

The announcement has generated a wave of excitement, as fans eagerly await the return of this dynamic trio.

Jovan expressed his enthusiasm, saying: “It’s been a while since we’ve worked together as a trio.

“The response since the announcement has been tremendous, and the audience’s expectations have only heightened.”

Mehazabien shared: “I think Best Friend was filmed back in 2018, marking my first collaboration with Probir Roy Chowdhury.

“The drama gained widespread popularity, largely due to the song ‘Obhijog’.”

After a significant break during which Mehazabien shifted her focus away from dramas, she revealed what led to their reunion:

“Probir had been suggesting for some time that we should team up again.

“So, we decided to come back together for a project set to release on Valentine’s Day 2025.

“I hope we’ll receive the same warmth and affection from the audience that we experienced back in 2018.”

This new instalment, titled Best Friend 2.0, will not simply continue the previous narrative but will introduce an entirely fresh storyline.

Probir explained:

“Nearly four years have passed since the last instalment in the Best Friend series, and now we’re reuniting.

“We finally found the right story, and I’m hopeful it will resonate with the audience’s enthusiasm for the next venture of the Best Friend franchise.”

Filming is set to take place in two phases, with the first scheduled for December 2024 and the second in January 2025.

Early predictions suggest that Best Friend 2.0 could become one of the most high-budget drama productions slated for release on Valentine’s Day.

As the excitement builds, the reunion of this iconic trio promises to bring back the magic that originally captivated audiences.
