A brand new season of Married At First Sight UK is almost here, with 18 new singles taking the bold leap of marrying a complete stranger.
Matched by experts Paul C Brunson, Charlene Douglas, and Mel Schilling, contestants will meet at the altar before honeymoons, moving in together, and attending the dramatic dinner parties and commitment ceremonies.
The upcoming series will see South Asian contestant Neelima.
Known to friends as Nelly, the 30-year-old is a cosmetic dentist from Manchester.
Outspoken, confident, and warm, she has built a strong reputation at one of the city’s leading dental clinics.
She has spent the last year focusing on herself after stepping away from relationships. Now, she is ready for love.
Nelly is clear about what she wants in a partner. She told producers she’s looking for someone “not intimidated by a woman who knows exactly who she is.”
The first look has seen Nelly’s entrance making headlines as she is set to have the most dramatic arrival ever seen on the series.
Celebrating her Indian heritage, Nelly will be carried down the aisle on a dolly adorned with pink and white flowers.
Guests will be wowed as she makes a statement in red, blending tradition and personality in a way that reflects who she is.
Despite her confidence, Nelly admitted to last-minute nerves about how her groom might react.
In the teaser, she said: “Today is one of the biggest days of my life… I’ve given up a lot to be here, I’m just really really hoping that this is it and this is ‘the one’.
“If he doesn’t react well to my entrance, I’d be devastated. It would ruin the magic of it all!”
“This whole shebang, me in the red, is he going to think: ‘I’m some diva, some princess!'”
Her vulnerability was clear as she continued: “I’m putting my heart on the line and I just really really hope it doesn’t get squished to little pieces because I don’t know how I’m going to come back from it if it does…”
With her bold personality, strong sense of self, and jaw-dropping entrance, Neelima is set to be one of the standout brides of the season.
Married at First Sight UK will be available to watch on E4 and stream on Channel 4 on September 21, 2025.
