"It’s so shocking that miscreants are up for something so disgusting in broad daylight"
Marathi actress Chinmayee Surve has filed a police complaint in Mumbai against an unidentified man for masturbating in front of her. The man has since been arrested.
The incident took place in Mumbai’s suburban area of Vile Parle on the afternoon of 19th February 2018.
Surve is the wife of popular TV actor, Sumeet Raghavan. According to reports, despite the busy road, Surve saw a man sitting in his BMW, masturbating at her.
Before Chinmayee could take any action against him, he fled the scene. But the Muramba star managed to note down the last few digits of his car number plate.
Chinmayee then rang her husband immediately, telling him about the incident.
The couple immediately filed a complaint with all the details to local police. As the area has schools and colleges in close proximity to the incident, police were on high alert to catch the culprit before any other incidents took place.
While the police were on the lookout, Sumeet released a few details that could help identify the man on his social media. Speaking to Indian Express, he said:
“It’s so shocking that miscreants are up for something so disgusting in broad daylight. I was at home when my wife called me frantically.
“Being responsible citizens we reached out to the authorities, and filed an official complaint at the local police station and also the traffic department. We are really hopeful the culprit will be caught soon.”
The popular actor shared on Twitter:
A white BMW with last 4 digits 1985 needs to be traced. The driver wearing a grey safari who had parked near #ParleTilakSchool #VileParleEast started masturbating in front of my wife. Before she could slap him he escaped. She could note down just the last 4 digits@MumbaiPolice
