An Indian man aged 40 from Vasna, Gujarat on December 17, 2020, filed a complaint against his friend for forcing him to have sex.

The man alleged that one of his friends had forced him to perform oral sex, before raping him while another friend of his filmed the act.

The victim alleged that yet another friend had egged the perpetrator on.

The three accused have been identified as Mayur Parmar, Sanjay Vanelia and Deep Kataria.

In his FIR (First Incident Report) the victim alleged he had been sitting around a bonfire with the three accused on the night of December 12, 2020.

He stated that the three men began teasing him and demanding sexual favours.

As per the victim’s complaint, Sanjay and Deep prodded Mayur to rape the complainant.

Mayur tore off the victim’s clothes, raped him and forced him to perform oral sex.

Meanwhile, Sanjay filmed the assault on his phone.

The three assailants went on to distribute the video to residents of the victim’s locality.

On December 16, 2020, the victim’s health deteriorated and he was admitted to VS Hospital in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

As the victim’s health continued to decline, he was shifted to Civil Hospital, where a medico-legal case was filed.

Vasna police have filed a case of unnatural sex and abatement against the three accused.

The police are reportedly investigating the matter further.

In a separate incident, a court in Thane, Maharashtra has acquitted a 44-year-old man of raping a woman in 2017.

District and Additional Sessions Judge A S Pandharikar in his order on December 9, 2020, said:

“The prosecution failed to prove the charges against the accused beyond a reasonable doubt, hence he needs to be acquitted.”

The prosecution told the court that the victim was a 23-year-old  housewife.

She has moved to her brother-in-law’s house at Kalwa, Maharashtra two months prior to the incident.

She allegedly took her brother-in-law’s four-year-old daughter for tuition classes to the accused’s place.

On August 12, 2017, when she went to the house of the accused to get the child, he asked her to wait.

After all the other children left, the accused asked the woman to prepare tea for him.

When she expressed her inability, the accused dragged her into the kitchen and allegedly raped her.

In his order, the judge said the theory put forth by the prosecution seems to be unbelievable.

Reportedly, the victim had been shouting for help and the incident spot is in a crowded area.

The judge stated:

“In such circumstances, it is unbelievable that no one heard the noise the manner in which the occurrence is stated is not believable.

“Therefore, based on the facts and circumstances of the case, the solitary version of the prosecution cannot be taken as a gospel truth at face value.”
