“What does Mahira look for in a man"
Mahira Khan has revealed what she looks for in a man in a recent interview.
The Pakistani actress is currently believed to be in a relationship with Karachi-based businessman, Salim Karim.
There have been rumours that the couple got engaged in 2020 but this has never been confirmed by either party.
She had previously married another businessman called Ali Askari in 2007 but the pair later divorced in 2015.
Khan and Aksari have one child together, a 12-year-old named Azlan Askari, who she raises as a single mother.
During a recent interview, the popular actress was asked:
“What does Mahira look for in a man and what impresses her?
“What excites her? What does she find attractive in a guy?”
She replied: “What I like and what I have found as I’ve grown older in the last few years, is being attracted to or liking a man who has this quiet thing.
“You know, like someone understanding who is okay with himself like just at peace with himself.
“I usually found someone good who is comfortable in their own skin and I really like that with anybody it’s not just a man.
“I like that and I think it’s a very attractive quality.”
Khan began her career in radio in 2006 before going on to host the live show, Most Wanted (2006-2008), on MTV Pakistan.
Following this, she was given her own show on AAG TV called Weekends with Mahira in 2008 before making her acting debut.
The actress first appeared in a supporting role in Shoaib Mansoor’s drama thriller Bol (2011), which starred Humaima Malik.
The movie became both a major critical and commercial success as well as one of the highest-grossing Pakistani films of all time.
In 2011, Khan also made her television debut in the New-York based serial, Neeyat, which established her as a household name.
She has since gone on to star in various television shows and movies and is now one of the highest-paid actresses in Pakistan.
The actress was last seen in the television movie Aik Hai Nigar (2021) and currently has a number of upcoming projects.
These include Quaid-e-Azam Zindabad (2021), The Legend of Maula Jatt (2022) and Neelofar, which does not yet appear to have a release date scheduled.
Mahira Khan recently came under fire after women rights activist Kanwal Ahmed said she was glorifying abusive relationships by playing regressive roles.
