"One of the most exciting shoots I've done."

Sanam Harrinanan looked nothing short of sensational while modelling a number of Indian bridal outfits.

The Winter Love Island winner wore a series of outfits by Nikaza Asian Couture, a bridal shop based in London.

Sanam commanded attention as she wore a sparkling lehenga that featured mirrored detailing.

She upped the elegance with lots of jewellery, including a maang tikka and matching earrings.

Intricately detailed bangles adorned Sanam’s wrists while extravagant finger bracelets glistened in the light.

Her dark hair was styled into a classic bun.

Sanam switched things up in an eye-catching ensemble that would be perfect for a summer wedding.

The outfit included a golden embroidered bralette and a vibrant skirt.

This time, Sanam’s brunette tresses were styled into a dramatic long braid as she held a coordinated scarf over her head.

For the fashion shoot, Sanam opted for glamorous makeup.

Done by Serena Takhar, Sanam looked incredible as she chose smoky eyeshadow, huge lashes and glossy lipstick.

The blush gave her contoured cheeks, accentuating her features.

Sanam put on a leggy display through a daring thigh-high split and added inches to her frame while wearing a pair of towering white pointed-toe heels.

She captioned the post: “One of the most exciting shoots I’ve done.

“So grateful to have been a part of this and honoured to have worn such beautiful traditional bridal wear.

“Thank you to everyone who made this shoot possible!”

Her boyfriend Kai Fagan – who she won Love Island with – was quick to comment, writing:

“Beautiful.”

Sanam has a mix of Indian and Trinidadian heritage.

She admitted that she had never really looked into her heritage before Love Island and had “a bit of an identity crisis” because she didn’t fit in.

Sanam explained: “I only really started to look into my heritage when I was on Love Island when people started to question if I was Indian or Caribbean – people didn’t understand what Indo/Caribbean was.

“But I was starting to see so many positive comments from girls who finally felt represented!

“I have always felt like I’ve had a bit of an identity crisis because I haven’t felt like I fit in with the Indian culture, but I also don’t feel like I fit in with the Caribbean side either.

“So this was a wonderful way to find out more about myself and my Indian side.”

“My mum was so excited for me when I told her I’d be dressing in modern embellished lehengas and jewelled tops.”

Sanam went on to say that she is excited to show Kai more of her heritage.

She added: “I was born in Trinidad and Tobago and I’m looking forward to taking myself and Kai over there to visit my family and show him more of my heritage and culture in the new year.”

Following the photoshoot, Sanam shared a behind-the-scenes photo of herself sitting in the lehenga and enjoying a Diet Coke, revealing she had to take several breaks due to being “really hot and tired” from wearing the “heavy” outfits.

She wrote: “This was the behind-the-scenes of the shoot, the clothing was so heavy that I got really hot and tired and had to take drink breaks.”
