"He was always a very charming, full-of-life guy"
Music artist Lizaa Malik has said that Kriti Sanon dated tragic actor Sushant Singh Rajput a few years ago.
The two actors were constantly rumoured to be dating, however, they never confirmed or denied it.
However, Lizaa has claimed that they were very much in a relationship and looked happy together.
Lizaa had a professional relationship with Sushant but she revealed that she saw him looking extremely happy with Kriti at a birthday party.
She explained: “The last time I met Sushant was some two and a half years back when he was with Kriti. It was during Kriti’s birthday celebrations in a Bandra club.
“He was always a very charming, full-of-life guy, who would walk into a party and get a smile on people’s face. We had a lot of common friends, like Mahesh Shetty.
“He was a fun loving guy, who had his sense of humour in the right place, always joking and keeping the energy level up.”
When asked why she felt like Sushant and Kriti seemed like a couple, Lizaa Malik said:
“When it is a public gathering and a birthday party, the host is always busy. So, Kriti was busy attending guests as it was a big party.
“I saw Sushant all charged up, dancing, getting a drink at the bar and socialising. They looked pretty happy and they were trying to be good hosts.
“Even if you’re not going out loud, telling the world that ‘oh, we are dating’, one can see the spark.”
She continued: “If somebody was playing the host with the actual host, there has to be something.
“We all knew that they were seeing each other, as much as they kept denying it.”
The two actors never publicly said anything about the possibility of a relationship despite the rumours.
They co-starred in the 2017 film Raabta where it is believed that their alleged relationship started.
Sushant later dated Sara Ali Khan after their on-screen chemistry in the 2018 film Kedarnath. However, according to a friend, Sara ended their relationship in 2019 after Sushant’s film, Sonchiriya failed at the box office.
The actor had been in a relationship with Rhea Chakraborty when he was tragically found dead at his home on June 14, 2020.
Rhea has since been named a suspect in connection with his death and is currently in custody.
