Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt got married on April 14, 2022, in a close-knit ceremony with only family members and close friends at the former’s Bandra residence, Vastu.
The couple had been hogging the limelight with their wedding news.
Pictures and videos of the Kapoor and Bhatt family arriving for the wedding festivities were all over the internet.
Soon after the wedding, Alia Bhatt also took to social media to share pictures from their beautiful wedding ceremony.
Many from the film industry commented on her post to give their best wishes to the happy couple.
But what caught netizens’ eye the most were two comments from Ranbir Kapoor’s ex-girlfriends Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif.
Taking to the comments section of Alia’s post, Deepika wrote: “Wishing you both a lifetime of love, light and laughter.”.
Several netizens reacted to her comment and trolled the actress.
Some of them read: “Feeling sorry for you”, “Alia Kapoor is living your dream”.
Even Katrina Kaif commented on Alia’s post to wish the couple by writing: “Congratulations to both of u. All the love and happiness.”
And netizens did not hold back in trolling her as well.
One user commented: “She’s congratulating her ex? What?”

On the other hand, some comments defended Katrina and Deepika as well.
A user wrote: “Why would she be missing when she is happily married? You guys just like to create a scene. Get a life.”
Even though Deepika and Katrina are happily married to their partners, netizens could not help but dig up their past infamous relationships with Ranbir Kapoor.
The actor married Alia Bhatt after dating her for nearly 5 years. They will also be seen in their first film together soon.
Sharing their wedding photos, Alia penned a long emotional note in her caption which read:
“Today, surrounded by our family and friends, at home in our favourite spot – the balcony we’ve spent the last 5 years of our relationship – we got married.
“With so much already behind us, we can’t wait to build more memories together, memories that are full of love, laughter, comfortable silences, movie nights, silly fights, wine delights and Chinese bites.
“Thank you for all the love and light during this very momentous time in our lives.”
“It has made this moment all the more special. Love, Ranbir and Alia.”
After the wedding, Neetu Kapoor announced to the media that there will be no wedding reception.
