Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has spoken out about the struggles of her recovery from Covid-19, including her multiple “relapses”.

"in the case of Covid-19, it is a fake recovery."

Kangana Ranaut has opened up about the ordeal she went through during her recovery from Covid-19.

In a video posted to her Instagram account, Ranaut revealed that she is still feeling weak after recovering from the virus.

She also said that, despite now testing negative, she “relapsed” multiple times during her recovery.

She is now calling it a “fake recovery”.

Kangana Ranaut revealed all in an Instagram video on Saturday, June 5, 2021.

The video is simply captioned: “My Covid after-care story. Share yours…”

In the video, Ranaut says:

“I am here to talk about my experience of recovery from Covid-19. I experienced shocking things during this time.

“I have always seen that when you are ill, once you start recovering, it is a perpetual journey forward.

“But, in the case of Covid-19, it is a fake recovery.

“Just a day after I tested negative, I felt I could do everything – workout and shoot schedules – as earlier.

“However, when I stepped out and started doing these things, I relapsed, I was not really well. I was again bed-ridden.”

She added: “It was not just once but I faced the relapse at least four of five times.

“It will be 14 days tomorrow since I tested negative for Covid-19.”

Kangana Ranaut then asked her fans and followers to take care of themselves and to rest sufficiently if they are recovering from Covid-19.

Ranaut first announced to her fans that she had contracted the virus on May 8, 2021.

She made the announcement on Instagram. However, the platform deleted her post after she was slammed for calling Covid-19 a “small-time flu” in her caption.

The actress soon tested negative for the virus and shared another video to Instagram to break the news.

In this video, she shared her journey of battling Covid-19 but also said she would not reveal the tips she used to help her recovery.

In the video, uploaded on May 18, 2021, Ranaut said:

“Hello everyone today I tested negative for Covid-19, I want to say a lot about how I beat the virus but I am told not to offend Covid-19 fan clubs…

“Yes, there are actually people out there who get offended if you show disrespect towards the virus…

“Anyway thanks for your wishes and love.”

On the work front, Kangana Ranaut is due to appear in the J Jayalalithaa biopic Thalaivi.

The film was due for release on April 23, 2021, but has been delayed due to the pandemic.
