“We are very last minute and could have got this made"
Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan gave fans an exclusive peek behind the scenes of their “Save The Date” Instagram Reel, and it’s as chaotic and charming as you’d expect.
The Love Island Winter winners left everyone buzzing with the surprise announcement that they’re tying the knot on August 1, 2025.
Their stylish TikTok-inspired Reel had everything – sunglasses, confetti, balloons – and looked effortless.
But behind the glamour was last-minute planning.
In a video on their joint YouTube channel, Sanam kicked things off by sharing:
“Today me and Kai are about to film a video for a very special announcement on our social media.”
Meanwhile, Kai was dashing around the shops, grabbing props for their big moment.
Once back home, the casually dressed duo got to work, crafting their own posters by hand.
Sanam confessed: “We are very last minute and could have got this made, but we’re trying to be creative here.”
It quickly became a family affair, with Sanam’s mum jumping in to help.
Naturally, this led to debates about which poster design to use. Sanam’s mum settled it with a laugh, suggesting: “Why not both?”
The fun continued with a “quick” outfit change – Kai in a tuxedo and Sanam looking radiant – as they prepped to film the final video.
But the shoot wasn’t exactly smooth sailing.
Sanam’s mum had trouble firing the confetti cannon, hilariously giving up and instead rushing to hand Kai a glass of prosecco.
When she finally gave it another go, the cannon worked, although much later than required.
For the grand finale, Sanam’s mum was “demoted” to balloon-thrower, chucking balloons into the frame as confetti rained down.
The video wrapped up with the polished Reel and a satisfied Sanam declaring:
“The video is completed, it took about four attempts, Kai’s sign got chosen.”
Fans were thrilled to see the behind-the-scenes antics.
The comments section was flooded with love for the couple and their supportive family.
