Indian gamers could also find a better deal than the iPhone X price.
Apple has taken centre-stage of the tech world, as it showcases its new range of smartphones. Yet, many have criticised and poked fun at the iPhone X price and its striking features.
However, things have now taken a surprising turn, when a Washington doctor made an unusual joke. The medical figure, of Indian descent, joked that the device costs the same amount as one kidney!
Yes, you read that right. One kidney.
After its launch, Apple revealed that the iPhone X was available from Rs 89,000 (approx. £1,000).
For those tempted to indulge in the top-end, which offers 256GB, this would cost the large sum of Rs 1,02,000 (approx. £1,170).
Only known as ‘SanjayN’, the doctor made the amusing suggestion in response to Vikram Chandra’s tweet. The Desi American writer asked his Twitter followers whether, despite the massive iPhone X price, it was still worth buying.
However, ‘SanjayN’ responded with this simple, yet funny message:
One Kidney ?

With a pre-order date of 27th October 2017, and expected to hit stores on 3rd November, many will have to start quickly saving up for the iPhone X. That’s if they even believe it is worth the steep price tag, especially if one considers the doctor’s comical comparison.
In response, the internet has decided to create some amusing memes on the iPhone X price:

For those who may decide they want to hold onto their hard-earned cash, they may want to look into other alternatives. What else does the iPhone X cost the same as?
Well, firstly you invest in an overseas trip, spending a few days in an exotic location. The Quartz found that Indian holidaymakers could fly off to sunny Spain for a few days, costing roughly Rs 82,000 (approx. £942).
You could even visit luxury destinations of Dubai for Rs 50,990 (approx. £586) or Maldives for Rs 59,961 (approx. £689). Surely a tempting alternative, especially as we approach the winter season.
Indian gamers could also find a better deal than the iPhone X price. You could splurge on either a PlayStation 4 or Xbox One, with enough change to spend on a few games.
Or, if you feel you need to step up your fitness game and embark on intense workouts, why not purchase a luxury gym membership? Cheaper than the iPhone X price, India’s famous Gold Gyms can cost members an annual fee of Rs 35,100 (approx. £403).
With these comparisons, many will come to the arguable conclusion of whether the iPhone X is really worth its price. Even with its vast features included.
But whether you ultimately decide to buy it or not, make sure you don’t feel the need to actually sell a kidney.
