A Kolkatta based Patisserie just introduced glow in the dark cakes to India, to light up any occasion.

With macaroons to creamed pastries, Little Pleasures bakery in Loudon Street specialises in cakes, chocolates and all things sweet.

The patisserie has recently been wowing customers with its exclusive glow in the dark cakes.

The cake is made using fluoro colours, from the US, which creates the striking neon colours.

The glow in the dark effect happens as this chemical radiates under UV light.

Pastry chef and owner of Little Pleasures, Shripriya Gupta revealed that she first came across of the idea of glow in the dark cakes in Austraila.

“This year, while on vacation in Miami, I sourced the ingredients and put them to the test,” she said.

“We worked on it for a couple of weeks before perfecting it.”

“Now, we have quite a few orders.”

Little Pleasures delivers the fluorescently coloured cakes all over India.

“If the order is in Kolkata, we would need 2-3 days notice, but we also deliver across India and we can get a team to the venue if we have about 25 days notice.”

“These colours are non-toxic and used for decorative purposes.”

“People in Kolkata are very appreciative of good flavours.”

The cakes come in a range of flavours and in various beautiful designs and patterns.

Bestselling flavours include red velvet, lemon meringue and chocolate hazelnut.

Customers can request to personalise the cake and make it to custom shapes and designs depending on the order.

The bakery designs cakes for any occasion including birthdays, bachelorettes and weddings.

Other themed cakes include Disney, video games and adult themes cakes that are almost too good to eat.

For the next time that you are planning a party, try out these flamboyant and creative cakes for any occasion.
