The 10th IIFA (International Indian Film Academy) Awards ceremony for 2009 was held in Macau, China. Major names from Bollywood all transcended on this beautiful island of China. The awards took place in the Venetian Macao Resort Hotel in Macau (also known as Macao).
Mr. Bachchan arrived at the resort in a gondola ride. Something he had not done for thirty long years. The ambassador of IIFA, Amitabh Bachchan said, “On behalf of IIFA, I would like to thank everyone in Macau and China for welcoming the landmark 10th IIFA to this beautiful destination.”
During the three day event, various stars performed including Sonam Kapoor, Anuksha Sharma and Australian pop star Peter Andre. He was bowled over by Mr Bachchan and said, “You sir (looking and pointing at Amitabh)… have such an amazing way of speaking and making everyone listen… you have a fantastic voice.
