This can rise up to Rs. 2 Crore (£200,000)
Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra’s wedding was a lavish affair and reports have circulated about its cost.
The Bollywood couple tied the knot at the Suryagarh Palace in Jaisalmer.
In a joint statement, Kiara and Sidharth said:
“Ab humari permanent booking hogayi hai.
“We seek your blessings and love on our journey ahead.”
Although the wedding saw celebrity guests attend, it was kept fairly private.
But the wedding featured an extravagant baraat procession and the famous ‘Jea’ wedding band.
Curious fans have wondered how much the wedding cost.
The fancy wedding venue can get expensive as a day destination wedding at the Suryagarh Palace can cost around Rs. 1.5 Crore (£150,000).
This can rise up to Rs. 2 Crore (£200,000) during the peak tourist season.
It is believed that the Bollywood couple spent approximately Rs. 6 Crore (£600,000) as their wedding festivities spanned over three days.
The cheapest room at Suryagarh Palace is priced at a whopping Rs. 30,000 (£300) per night.
And this does not include the stunning outfits that the bride and groom wore.
For the wedding, Kiara and Sidharth wore outfits from designer Manish Malhotra.
Kiara wore a Rome-inspired lehenga in hues of empress rose.
It detailed: “The lehenga features intricate embroidery detailing of the roman architecture, inspired by the special love the newlyweds share for the city of domes.
“Real Swarovski crystals are embellished to embrace our signature sparkle.”
Kiara’s jewellery was also designed by Manish Malhotra, featuring hand-cut diamonds crafted with rare Zambian emeralds.
“The captivating Manish Malhotra Bride glows in Manish Malhotra Bespoke Diamond Jewellery for her big day.
“The exclusive set features an exquisite composition of ultra-fine hand-cut diamonds crafted with rare Zambian emeralds.”
Jewellery designer Mrinalini Chandra made Kiara’s choodas and kaliras, stating that she worked with the actress to incorporate elements from the couple’s love story.
Mrinalini said:
“We loved making your choodas and kaliras, and are absolutely over the moon to see you in our work of art for your big day.”
Meanwhile, Sidharth chose a handcrafted Manish Malhotra gold sherwani featuring ivory threadwork.
The designer said it was the “perfect amalgamation of whimsical and dreamy in a custom Manish Malhotra creation”.
The designer continued: “Exuding old-world charm, Sidharth wears a metallic gold sherwani with an exquisite royal lustre.
“The sherwani features our classic signatures, hints of ivory threadwork, gold zardozi and badla work, handcrafted with utmost finesse.”
Sidharth completed his look with handcrafted Manish Malhotra Polki Jewellery by Raniwala 1881 studded with extremely fine uncut diamonds.
Although it is not known how much the outfits cost, it is likely that they cost several lakhs.
