The ladies are back once again with the highly-anticipated season two of Four More Shots Please! (2020) after the wide success of season one’s rollercoaster ride.
Helmed by Rangita Pritish and directed by Nupur Asthana, the show will begin in Instanbul, move to Mumbai and end in Udaipur.
The four unapologetically flawed individuals are the best of friends. Featuring Sayani Gupta, Kirti Kulhari, Bani J and Maanvi Gagroo in the lead roles the actresses will portray multi-dimensional characters.
The unconventional plot of season one garnered wide popularity among audiences. Season two of the show aims to continue exploring the life choices of the four young women.
Their friendship, love, life choices, ambitions and sense of freedom in Millennial Mumbai will be showcased as their lives progress.
According to an interview with India Today, producer Rangita Pritish revealed what season two of Four More Shots Please! (2020) will offer. She said:
“Four More Shots Please! Season 2 (2020) is the bomb version of season one. It’s bigger in scale, it’s written to deeper levels.
“Given that season one was successful, the baggage on season two will be to ensure that we stay true to that love.
“The writing gets deeper; the friendship gets stronger and the world around them gets more interesting.”
Rangita Pritish continues to explain what she loves about each of the four characters. She revealed:
“I love Damini (Sayani Gupta) for her inner strength. She is this little powerhouse of strength and yet behind that, there is vulnerability. The need to be loved which all of us have.
“I love Anjana (Kriti Kulhari) for the fact that she can be everything for everybody, even her ex-husband. And yet, she forgets that there is one person she is missing in that equation and that’s herself.
“I love Umang (Bani J) for being the fighter she is. I love Siddhi (Maanvi Gagroo) for just wanting to never have to adult.
“I have days when I don’t want to be an adult. There is enough in these girls for us to love. There is a little bit of each of us in all these girls.”
In the trailer, audiences witness Siddhi (Maanvi Gagroo) who has undergone a transformation. Rangita explained:
“I think what’s changed between season one and season two is that Siddhi (Maanvi Gagroo) has found her voice.”
“Season one, she didn’t know. She was what her mum, her father and the world wanted her to be. But this season (two) she has decided to have a voice.”
