"My main priority is my husband and daughter."

Faryal Makhdoom Khan will not be appearing in Big Brother. She made the announcement when interviewed by The Bolton News.

As DESIblitz reported earlier in February 2017, speculation became rife that the 25-year-old would make an appearance.

However Faryal, who is the wife of famous boxer Amir Khan said: “Yes my team’s been approached by Big Brother producers.

“But for now, my main priority is my husband and daughter. There’s no way I can leave my daughter for so long and have no contact with my family.”

A clear sign of where her priorities lie for now.

Though Khan did express her appreciation at the consideration, saying: “Although I want to thank Big Brother for even considering me.”

It comes as no surprise that she was offered a place on Big Brother. Faryal has hit headlines numerous times following her very public disputes with her husband’s family. She even made various television appearances speaking openly about her in-laws.

Additionally, she has a vast following on Instagram, Twitter and Snapchat which she regularly uses. No doubt, Big Brother producers believed she would make a popular and controversial contestant.

Faryal’s decision must have come after some serious consideration. In February 2017, she had taken to Snapchat to say: “Hey guys, I got asked to be on Celebrity Big Brother…it’s a very tricky one and idk if I can do it [sic].

An interesting move on Faryal’s part, she then asked her fans to decide for her:

“I want all my followers advice. On my last Instagram post tell me whether I should or shouldn’t? I want you guys to pick!”

Asking for career advice from followers could potentially have negative effects. However, the response was largely positive.

One follower replied with: “U will be more famous than Kim Kardashian if u came on big brother…” Another added: “Show the real u on big brother maybe it will change people’s perception of u after all the drama with ure inlaws [sic].”

These responses showed some in favour of venturing onto the show. However, since then Faryal has made her final decision and fans will be disappointed to not see her on the popular reality show.
