A former Love Island star was left unimpressed with Shakira Khan’s comment, calling it “f****d up” and urging: “You can’t say that.”
Josh Ritchie, who shot to fame on the 2015 series of the dating show and returned for Love Island: All Stars, has been watching the latest series but didn’t hold back after hearing Shakira’s remark.
The 22-year-old had been sitting on the stairs with Harry, reflecting on life after the show.
During the chat, she suggested that she wouldn’t even be able to go to Aldi after the show, hinting towards her newfound fame.
Josh, who has been dating Sophie Piper since meeting on the All Stars series, reacted to Shakira’s comment in a video.
He said: “Shakira has not just said, ‘I wonder what life is going to be like after, I can’t even go to Aldi’.
“It’s not the fact of shopping at Aldi because I actually don’t mind that, I’ve shopped there a few times.
“But it’s the fact that she thinks that she’s going to be famous. You can’t say that, the fact that you think you’re going to be mega famous.”
Appearing to be cringing over the remark, Josh pulled a blanket over his head and added:
“Oh God. That is f****d up, that. Wow.”
It follows a dramatic week for Shakira, who threatened to quit the show.
After ending things with Conor due to unresolved feelings for Harry, the 22-year-old sought help from the show’s 24/7 duty of care team and asked to leave.
A source told The Sun: “Shakira has been through the wringer and was already at breaking point over her heartbreak by Harry.
“When Harry made it exclusive with Helena, everything unravelled and she realised she wasn’t ready to be with Conor properly.
“She did the brave thing by ending that, but then the floodgates opened and she just didn’t want to be in the villa anymore. She went to the beach hut and asked to leave the villa.
“The duty of care team were able to help her through her emotions and she decided to stay.”

Meanwhile, tensions erupted in the villa over Harry.
It started when Toni accused some contestants of isolating others.
She said: “You guys single people out and you make them feel bad about themselves.
“And then when I called you out about it on the fire pit, you looked at me like I was crazy. Look at the way you made her feel.”
Harry attempted to defuse the situation: “We listened to you and heard you out.”
But Toni pushed back:
“You do the same exact thing on a larger scale.”
Dejon urged calm: “We don’t need to shout and scream and be troubled. Let’s just have a conversation.”
Conor chimed in, suggesting: “The better thing to do would be to say that to me if we’re such good friends.”
Harry eventually took accountability: “Looking back, we should have done that, yeah, 100%.”
Dejon agreed: “Of course, we should have said that to you, man.”
As speculation grew about whether Shakira still had feelings for Harry, she firmly shut it down:
“Never at one point here in this whole experience has anyone come back me up after I’ve ended things with Harry.
“Have I ever said I want to get back with Harry?”
When Harry confirmed she hadn’t, Shakira snapped: “Yeah, exactly. So everyone can shut the f**k up about it.”
