Esha Gupta opens up about ‘Bedding’, ‘Breakups’ & ‘Affairs’

Bollywood actress Esha Gupta has opened up about the impact of fake stories about ‘breakups’, ‘bedding’ and ‘affairs’ had on her.

Indian film actress Esha Gupta has revealed her heartache from being ridiculed by critics, fake journalists and fake stories involving her.

Esha Gupta won the 2007 Miss Indian International title. Later, she represented India at the Miss International pageant.

This gained her recognition and she eventually received offers from Bollywood.

In 2012, she made her acting debut in the commercially successful film, Jannat 2 opposite Emraan Hashmi.

Her performance in the crime-thriller film led her to be nominated for the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut.

Since her debut, Esha Gupta has gone on to feature in several films. These include Chakravyuh (2012), Humshakals (2014), Rustom (2016) and Baadshaho (2017) to name a few.

Esha also received praise for her role in the political drama Chakravyuh (2012).

The model-turned-actress recently watched the late Sushant Singh Rajput’s final film, Dil Bechara (2020) and said it broke her heart.

In a series of tweets on Twitter, Esha Gupta urged people not to believe the fake news spread about artists.

The Jannat 2 actress also revealed the battle artists must face.

Speaking about what artists go through, Esha wrote:

“I feel like we all have been living the same life, knowing we are good, but being made feel we aren’t good enough.

“Reading untrue embarrassing cooked up stories about ourselves, hoping people will recognise our talent n give us a chance.”

Esha Gupta added:

“Even then, we are ridiculed by so called “critics” or “fake journos” and insiders, because they are insecure, we are better than them .. or because we simply refused to please their ego.

“Don’t judge us by their comments, see us by your eyes only please.”

Esha continued to open up about reading fake news concerning breakups and affairs. She said:

“I’ve read about my breakup before it ever happened, about affairs I never had.”

“About bedding the people I hated, just because they could write about us, cus we don’t have an army to back us. Imagine crying about this to our families.”

Speaking about Sushant Singh Rajput’s Dil Bechara (2020), Esha Gupta tweeted:

“Everyday our hope was broken. But still we din give up .. #DilBechara made me smile but broke my heart.

“Never let an artist feel like this again, please. As citizens, please try and realise, we give our 100% to the opportunity we have n get.”
