Deli Boys to Bring More Comedy & Crime in Season 2 on Hulu

There will be more crime and comedy as Deli Boys has been renewed for a second season at Hulu.

The series debuted in March 2025 and quickly won critical acclaim.

Now, fans can look forward to more chaos as Fred Armisen joins the cast as a series regular. He will star alongside Asif Ali, Saagar Shaikh, and Poorna Jagannathan.

Deli Boys centres on two Pakistani American brothers whose lives are turned upside down after the sudden death of their father reveals his secret criminal empire.

They are then tasked with taking over his enterprise.

Never Have I Ever star Poorna plays Lucky, a former advisor to their father who attempts to guide the brothers in their criminal lifestyle.

With her help, Mir (Asif Ali) and Raj (Saagar Shaikh) juggle managing the illegal enterprise and the public-facing company, DarCo, while concealing their activities from their loved ones.

As for Fred Armisen’s new role, he will play a gambling savant with a casino empire whose crown jewel is in Philadelphia, where Deli Boys is set.

He’s able to read people like cards and is “uniquely brilliant and deeply unhinged”, making for a deadly combination if he’s crossed.

Behind the scenes, Deli Boys was created by Abdullah Saeed and developed with Jenni Konner and Nora Silver under Jenni Konner Productions.

Michelle Nader, who led Season 1 as showrunner, continues as executive producer alongside Abdullah Saeed, Jenni Konner, and Nora Silver. Nisha Ganatra directed and executive-produced the pilot.

The series is produced by 20th Television for Onyx Collective.

Season 1 received largely positive reviews, with an average rating of 7.5/10 on Rotten Tomatoes.

The website’s consensus reads: “A tasty crime caper where the laughs come first, Deli Boys busts a gut with Asif Ali and Saagar Shaikh’s bumbling chemistry and Poorna Jagannathan’s scene-stealing turn.”

Fred Armisen’s addition adds even more star power.

He can be seen as Uncle Fester in Netflix’s global hit Wednesday, which is airing its second season.

With Hulu doubling down on the crime-comedy chaos of Deli Boys, Season 2 promises to up the stakes.

And for viewers in the UK, Deli Boys is expected to return to Disney+.
