“I have been in relationships where I didn’t have that."
Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone has revealed that “sex is not just physicality” for her while in a relationship.
Recently, the actress disclosed aspects of her past relationships, infidelity as well as her views on sex.
Deepika has been vocal about her personal struggles in the past from her mental health worries to private life.
Currently, the actress is happily married to her loving husband and fellow actor Ranveer Singh since 2018.
The couple exchanged vows surrounded by their close family and friends in an intimate ceremony.
According to the Hindustan Times, Deepika candidly spoke about her sexual experiences. She said:
“For me, sex is not just about physicality; there are emotions involved.”
The actress continued to speak about the topic of infidelity and how it is something she is strongly against. Deepika said:
“I have never cheated or strayed when I’m in a relationship. If I’m going to be fooling around, why would I be in a relationship?
“It’s better to be single and have fun. But not everyone thinks like that.”
Deepika went on to reveal that she has had a difficult love life in which she has been cheating on, not once but twice.
Without revealing his name, Deepika confirmed that her ex-boyfriend “begging and pleaded” for a second chance.
Despite being given a second chance, her ex-partner betrayed her trust once again and this time Deepika “caught him red-handed.”
While it is hard to believe that Deepika has been hurt, it was her husband Ranveer Singh who helped restore her faith in men.
Speaking to Mumbai Mirror about her relationship with Ranveer, Deepika gushed over her husband as she showered him with praise. She said:
“I’d have a long day but I didn’t feel anxious about whether he (Ranveer) would be upset about me coming home late or because I hadn’t called. I have been in relationships where I didn’t have that.
“When you don’t have to worry about such things, it allows you to focus on work.”
It seems Deepika is not the only who learnt from her husband, Ranveer also admitted to learning from his wife. He said:
“Nowadays being the busy career man that I am, it’s a true luxury to do something you want to. I am not blaming anyone or cribbing about it.
“I love everything that I do and I love my job, but I am working towards maintaining a balance.
“When you talk about efficient time management, I am closely following the footsteps of my very beautiful wife who is really a master at time management.
“I am taking tips from her and getting better at it.”
On the work front, Deepika Padukone will be seen on the big screen in the upcoming film 83 (2020) alongside Ranveer Singh.
This will be the first time the couple will be seen together on-screen after their wedding in 2018.
