“Travel and food are inseparable in my life."
Acclaimed chef Cyrus Todiwala is supporting a new culinary journey to Odisha in eastern India.
The tour is curated by The Cook’s Adventures, the travel arm of Chef Dev Biswal’s The Cook’s Tale restaurant in Canterbury.
Dev Biswal, who was born in Odisha, has designed a 12-day itinerary to showcase the region’s hidden treasures. The tour will highlight local markets, tribal traditions, coastal eco-living, and Odisha’s culinary heritage.
The Cook’s Adventures designs immersive culinary journeys that connect travellers with authentic food traditions and local culture across the globe.
With a focus on storytelling, community, and heritage, each tour offers guests an unforgettable way to experience the world through food.
To launch the Odisha journey, The Cook’s Adventures will co-present a special event at Café Spice Namasté in London on November 14.
Guests will be served a six-course tasting menu inspired by Odisha, alongside a presentation about the upcoming trip. Tickets cost £95 including drinks, with booking essential on the website.
Cyrus Todiwala will not personally lead the tour but is backing it as part of his long-standing ethos of authenticity and discovery. The trip departs on January 14, 2026, and will be led by Dev himself.
Cyrus said: “Travel and food are inseparable in my life. Every journey reveals something new about the people and their traditions.
“I wanted to share this Odisha adventure with my community because it reflects the same spirit of authenticity and exploration that I value in my own tours.”
The collaboration reflects shared values between the two chefs.
Dev said: “It’s exciting to be working with the Cyrus, we share a similar philosophy to culinary heritage, with a commitment to authenticity but remaining open-minded, not scared to experiment with new ideas.
“We also have a love of their Parsee cuisine, having lived and worked with Parsees growing up in India.”
