'Moha Jadu' reaffirms the platform’s experimental spirit.
Coke Studio Bangla has unveiled its sixth track of Season 3, titled ‘Moha Jadu’, sparking immense excitement across audiences.
The song brings together celebrated Bangladeshi music producer Habib Wahid and rising Tajikistani vocalist Mehrnigor Rustam for their first collaborative performance.
It arrives after a pause of more than one year, following the earlier release of Hashim Mahmud’s energetic composition ‘Baji’.
The season had already featured tracks like ‘Long Distance Love’ performed by Ankan Kumar and Sheikh Mumtahina Mehzabin, earning praise.
With ‘Moha Jadu’, the platform highlights cultural bridges, blending Bangla folk mysticism with Persian Sufi traditions into a strikingly experimental soundscape.
The verses come from Baul Shah Khoyaj Mia, a disciple of Durbin Shah, celebrated for weaving mysticism into song.
Mehrnigor Rustam sings haunting Farsi lines like “Eshghat khamusham kard”, meaning “Your love has completely silenced me forever.”
Habib Wahid then responds with Bangla lyrics, “Amar bondhu moha jadu jane”, meaning “My lover charms like a true magician.”
Visually, the music video mirrors the balance between grace and modernity, giving equal presence to both celebrated artists’ unique aesthetics.
Rustam appears in flowing white attire, exuding serene elegance, while Wahid performs confidently in sunglasses and a glittered jacket.
He plays his keyboard while delivering vocals, adding his signature ‘Habib Wahid’ style that longtime fans have always adored deeply.
Beyond staging, the collaboration underscores a deeper history, reminding listeners that Persian once served as Bengal’s official court language.
That linguistic and cultural connection still resonates in Bangla vocabulary and traditions, and ‘Moha Jadu’ revives this powerful, forgotten legacy.
The track was composed, arranged, and produced entirely by Habib Wahid, while lyrics come from Khoyaj Mia.
Coke Studio Bangla’s third season began with ‘Tanti’ on Pahela Baishakh 2024, followed by ‘Ma Lo Ma’ weeks later.
Later, Warfaze contributed ‘Obak Bhalobasha’ on May 25, 2025, after which production briefly paused, leaving fans eagerly awaiting returns.
Now, the release of ‘Moha Jadu’ reaffirms the platform’s experimental spirit, welcoming cross-border collaborations that push South Asian boundaries.
Fans have flooded social media with positive remarks, praising both Habib Wahid’s arrangement and Mehrnigor Rustam’s soulful delivery of heartfelt Sufi-inspired lines.
Listeners particularly admired the fusion of mysticism and electronic folk.
With ‘Moha Jadu’, Coke Studio Bangla reasserts itself as a pioneer of cultural experimentation, bridging histories, languages, and contemporary music.
