While on The Great British Bake Off 2024, Sumayah Kazi made a name for herself, impressing fans with her creativity and artistic bakes.
The young baker also had a talent for making clothes and an eye for attention-grabbing fashion.
That penchant for gorgeous aesthetics was never more evident than in Sumayah’s recent Instagram posts from her cousin’s wedding.
Sumayah Kazi revealed that in August 2025, her cousin enjoyed a lavish Bengali wedding.
Sumayah showed off her beautiful dress from Zarri Place UK, owned by Abdullah Shah.
In one of her pictures, Sumayah looked stunning as she sat with her palms on her knees.
Dainty jewellery adorned her wrists, face, and neck as she gazed into the camera.
The silver gown draped over her, offering fans an organic glimpse into the elegance of a traditional Bengali wedding ceremony.
Sumayah captioned the post: “The last day of summer 2025 marked the date of my cousin’s wedding.
“Such a momentous occasion like this had to reflect in our outfits!
“At heart, I am the annoying uncle with the DSLR camera brought to every function.
“Safe to say, it was a good choice because the pictures turned out magically!”
Another post showed Sumayah standing in the centre of the venue. This photograph showed the outfit in all its glory.
The Bake Off star also held her exquisite bag in one hand.
Several users complimented Sumayah Kazi under the post, while also congratulating her cousin.
Rahul Mandal, who won The Great British Bake Off in 2018, wrote: “You look gorgeous.”
Meanwhile, Sumayah’s fellow contestant, Nelly Ghaffar, said: “Looking stunning, my darling.”
A third user commented: “You look stunning and you dress is beautiful. Congratulations to your cousin on their wedding day.”
Sumayah also included a photograph of her in everyday wear as she got herself ready for the occasion.
The baker cheekily showed her “ratty, long hair”.
She joked: “Safe to say, I was horrified. Maybe I should grow my hair out?”
Meanwhile, during her time in the Bake Off tent, Sumayah was the youngest baker, joining the show aged 18.
She was praised for her innovative creations and her delicate designs.
Ultimately, when it came to desserts in the seventh week, Sumayah stumbled, becoming the sixth baker to leave the show in that series.
The Great British Bake Off returns to Channel 4 on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at 8 pm, where 12 new bakers will compete to win the grand baking prize.
The new series also comprises two Desi Bakers – Hassan and Nadia.
