Winter in Pakistan is the season of weddings and parties. The Fashion Council Pakistan also dedicates its recent fashion week for winter.

They called it ‘Fashion Pakistan Week Winter/Festive 2018’ and this is where the idea for a bridal fashion event arrived.

The organisers collaborated with Fashion Pakistan Week with an idea of ‘Bridal Trend Forecast Vision 2020’ and came up with The Wedding Atelier 2018.

Fashion Pakistan Week is the leading fashion event in the country with many top designers presenting their latest designs.

Bridal events are always very popular as they provide couples with many ideas for their wedding day.

The event also gave future husbands and wives to receive recommendations and inside knowledge from professionals of the sector.

Couples were presented with more than 25 categories relating to the wedding industry.

These include beauty, jewellery design, invite options, wedding décor, bridal apparel, interior designing, wedding photography, wedding PR and many more.

Discussing her idea of putting up such an event, Sara Chapra said:

“Through this grand wedding show, the idea was to break boundaries by providing wedding essentials and interactive sessions all under one roof.”

More than one hundred artisans and industry experts attended the event.

They include Natasha’s Salon, Kiran Fine Jewellery, RAKA Events and Private Collection to name a few.

The centrepieces of the event were the bridal wear designs and the creators behind them attended.

Sana Safinaz, Nida Azwer, Zainab Chottani were just a few designers showing off their newest bridal pieces.

Their wedding collections in the past have been showcased by renowned models who have walked the ramp.

An unexpected fashion segment by Ansab Jahangir featured models Michelle, Misbah and Anisa in stunning regal ensembles.

Her outfit at the 2018 Wedding Atelier was the star of the whole event as it was a beautiful red piece adorned with gold embellishments.

The bright regal red provided the perfect backdrop to the detailed gold sequencing.

Her bridal outfit was one which guests would remember as part of the collection by Ansab Jahangir.

While explaining the interests of brides, Ayeza stated that every bride wants to look unique and gorgeous on her wedding day.

Traditionally in the South Asian subcontinent, brides are expected to wear red but latest designs have pastel shades paired up in their designs.
