He emphasised that the departed brought light and warmth to their family.

The actor’s wife, renowned actress Zara Noor Abbas, also took to Instagram to share her sentiments about her father-in-law’s demise.

Accompanied by a touching photograph of her father alongside Asad Siddiqui’s father, Zara expressed her love for her ‘Abu Jaan.’

She wrote: “Thank you for your love, Abu. For never making me feel like an outsider and always standing up for me. Until we meet again!”

She acknowledged his strength and dignity, describing him as a hero who battled for his life until the end.

The funeral arrangements were shared through another Instagram Story, where details of the namaz-e-janaza were conveyed.

The religious ceremony took place on February 8 at a mosque in Karachi.
