An artist has gone viral after posting a video of himself onto Instagram drawing Zayn Malik as an Indian groom.

The user, Vaibhav Tiwari, created the lifelike ballpoint pen drawing and it has captured the attention of many.

The video has since amassed over 12,000 likes and 70,000 views.

The self-taught artist started his Instagram account in early 2018 and has a strong following.

Vaibhav starts the video by showing a reference picture of Zayn on his phone.

As the video continues, the young artist goes on to sketch the singer’s face with just pens.

Netizens loved the sketch and showered the artist with praise in the comment section.

One user said: “Hats off to your imagination!”

Another said: “I can literally keep staring at your sketches all day. They are so realistic.

“Your sketches are my inspiration to improve my art.”

Through his black and white ballpoint pen sketches and jewellery art, it is clear to see the artist has a clear style.

Shared on September 22, 2021, Vaibhav also posted a video in which he drew Zayn’s supermodel girlfriend Gigi Hadid as an Indian bride.

Complete with jewellery and elaborate details, his sketches are intricate and precise.

Zayn Malik lives a private life and prefers to stay out of the limelight.

His latest album, titled Nobody Is Listening, was released on January 15, 2021.

The couple welcomed their daughter Khai in September 2020 and celebrated her first birthday on September 18, 2021.

Gigi made a comeback to the runway for Marc Jacobs’ fashion show just six months after giving birth.

Alongside Zayn and Gigi, the artist has sketched many other celebrities including the late Sushant Singh Rajput, Deepika Padukone, Aishwarya Rai and Kareena Kapoor.

Vaibhav also recently drew Vampire Diaries actor Ian Somerhalder in Indian wedding attire.

An Instagram user commented:

“I’m convinced that you can literally turn anybody into an Indian through your artworks! This is too good!”

The artist plans to draw Kylie Jenner next and share it with his 71,000 Instagram followers.

Vaibhav was invited to the Zee Cine Awards in 2020 where he was able to give his sketches to some of the celebrities he has drawn, such as Ranveer Singh, Sara Ali Khan and Kriti Sanon.

As well as Instagram, Vaibhav also has a YouTube channel where he shares longer and more detailed videos of his sketching process.

He also offers online tutorials in which fellow artists can develop their skills.
