The leads underwent intensive fitness regimens.
Arifin Shuvoo and Bidya Sinha Mim are set to reunite on screen after four years, currently shooting a highly anticipated action film.
The duo, last seen together in Golam Sohrab’s thriller Shapludu, are reportedly working with director Saif Chandan for the first time.
Chandan, whose previous film Local featured Ador Azad and Shobnom Bubly, is keeping the project’s details under strict wraps.
The title remains unconfirmed, with insiders suggesting it could be either Malik or Shikar, leaving fans speculating online.
Filming began in early November 2025 in Paba, Rajshahi, and has now shifted to Natore, progressing at a brisk pace.
Sources revealed that the project belongs to the action genre, with both Shuvoo and Mim appearing in completely reimagined roles.
To prepare for their characters, the leads underwent intensive fitness regimens and strict dietary routines for several weeks.
Mim reportedly dedicated one and a half months to rehearsals, including martial arts training, body language coaching, and action choreography.
Shuvoo invested similar effort into physical and performance preparation, emphasising his commitment to delivering an authentic and energetic performance.
Both actors are approaching this film with renewed focus, as neither has had a theatrical release in recent months.
Shuvoo’s last film to hit theatres was Neelchokro, which makes this project a significant return for the actor.
When asked about the film, Saif Chandan remained deliberately vague, stating:
“I don’t want to say anything right now. I’ll reveal everything when the time is right.”
The production team is aiming for an Eid-ul-Fitr 2026 release, with plans to shoot an item song abroad in December 2025 to enhance the cinematic spectacle.
Following the international shoot, the film will enter its final stages, including patchwork, dubbing, and post-production polish.
Shuvoo has multiple projects on the horizon, including Raihan Rafi’s Noor with Jannatul Ferdous Oishee, which is awaiting release on OTT platforms.
He has also completed Anam Biswas’s Thikana Bangladesh, co-starring Nusraat Faria, and appeared in the Hindi series Jazz City, expanding his international portfolio.
Mim, meanwhile, has been active in brand endorsements and photoshoots, maintaining her presence in the public eye.
She recently wrapped shooting Digante Fuler Agun, directed by Wahid Tarek and produced by Shomi Kaiser, portraying Panna Kaiser, the writer Shahidullah Kaiser’s wife.
Fans are eagerly following updates from the set, excited to see the chemistry between Arifin Shuvoo and Bidya Sinha Mim in a high-octane cinematic experience.
With both stars fully committed and production moving steadily, the film is poised to make a notable impact in Bangladeshi cinema in 2026.
