“Please sort this out Puma India.”
Anushka Sharma recently called out Puma India for using her images without consent to promote its sale event.
The actor took to social media after Puma posted a series of images of her as part of its ongoing end-of-season sale.
After the brand responded to her, Anushka took to Instagram on December 20, 2022, and posted a video clip which is going viral.
In the video, she is speaking about the brand’s ‘proposal’ after she told them to take down her pictures as she was not their brand ambassador.
Users pointed out that this was a promotional gimmick used by the brand to create online buzz, and some called it ‘lame’.
The reel shows Anushka getting her hair and makeup done and speaking out loud as she sits in front of a mirror inside a vanity room.
She was also seen looking at her hairstylist and makeup artist as she shared her views on working with the brand.
Anushka, in the caption of the reel, wrote: “Considering @pumaindia’s proposal… What say?”
In the clip, the actor said: “Wait, will I have to wear a sports bra all day? It is like being stuck at the same job as Virat.
“Ab bolenge har jaga logo dikhna chahiya (they will now say the logo should be visible everywhere)”
Anushka Sharma was then heard talking about the brand’s name.
She said: “Why did not they name it Cheetah? That’s the fastest, right?”

She added: “My clothes are going to have cat hair all day… they own my family now?”
Reacting to her video, a user wrote in the comments section: “Sab promotion strategy tha (it was all a promotional strategy).”
Another comment read: “Marketing on point.”
Earlier, Puma India took to their official Instagram handle and posted a picture of what appears to be a contract.
The image shows ‘Puma x Anushka’ with ‘confidential’ written on it.
Along with the photo, the brand wrote in the caption:
“Hey @anushkasharma, we should’ve reached out sooner! Should we take things to the next level, then?”
Anushka then took to her Instagram Story to share the same and wrote: “I’ll sleep on it.”
Anushka Sharma had reposted her picture shared by the brand.
The PK actor wrote: “Hey, @PumaIndia? I’m sure you know that you have to take permission before you can use my imagery for publicity since I am not your ambassador.”
The Ae Dil Hai Mushkil actor also demanded the brand should remove the post.
She added, “Please take it down,” along with angry face emojis.
It was also posted by husband-cricketer Virat Kohli, who wrote: “Please sort this out Puma India.”
