Old rivalries are far from resolved.

The trailer for Mirzapur: The Movie has been released, marking the beloved franchise’s long-awaited debut on the big screen.

Released by Excel Entertainment and Amazon MGM Studios, the trailer brings back the chaos, power struggles and sharp one-liners fans have come to love.

Pankaj Tripathi returns as the iconic Kaleen Bhaiya while Ali Fazal is back as the fierce and determined Guddu Pandit.

Divyenndu also makes his return as Munna Bhaiya, completing the central trio that has defined the Mirzapur universe.

The trailer wastes no time reestablishing the franchise’s signature world of gangsters, shifting loyalties and relentless battles over the Gaddi.

New contenders enter the race for control in the film, threatening to upset the existing power equations that fans have followed closely.

The story moves beyond the familiar lanes of Purvanchal and into new settings, including the striking visual landscape of the desert.

The shift gives the franchise a significantly wider cinematic canvas while retaining the gritty and politically charged atmosphere.

Old rivalries are far from resolved, and alliances are pushed to their breaking point as every character fights to seize control.

The ensemble cast is as expansive and impressive as anything the franchise has assembled across its previous streaming outings.

Alongside the returning leads, the film features Jitendra Kumar, Ravi Kishan, Abhishek Banerjee, Rasika Dugal and Mohitt Maalik in pivotal roles.

Sheeba Chadha, Rajesh Tailang, Pramod Pathak, Shriya Pilgaonkar and Harshita Shekhar Gaur also feature throughout the film’s dramatic proceedings.

Shweta Tripathi, Sonal S Chauhan, Anangsha Biswas, Shaji Chaudhary and Satendra Soni are also part of the film’s ensemble cast.

Kulbhushan Kharbanda and Sushant Singh round out the remarkable and sprawling lineup of talent assembled for the theatrical debut.

The film is directed by Gurmmeet Singh, who helmed multiple seasons of the original streaming series.

It is written by Puneet Krishna, who has been one of the primary creative architects of the Mirzapur universe from the very beginning.

It is produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under the Excel Entertainment banner with Kassim Jagmagia and Vishal Ramchandani as co-producers.

The film is presented jointly by Amazon MGM Studios and Excel Entertainment, two of the most prominent names in Indian streaming content production.

Mirzapur: The Movie will release in cinemas across India on September 4, 2026, in both Hindi and Telugu language versions.

The theatrical release marks a significant and historic milestone for a franchise that built its massive and devoted fanbase entirely on a streaming platform.

Having dominated the streaming landscape across multiple seasons, the Mirzapur universe now sets its sights on conquering the theatrical space.
