Alia Bhatt made jaws drop at the 2022 Indian Television Academy Awards (ITA) with her striking silver saree and sleeveless blouse.
As she strut out onto the red carpet, paparazzi were treated to her plunging V neckline and backless detailing.
The Gangubai Kathiawadi icon looked gracious as ever, which was befitting considering she won the award for ‘Popular Actress (Film)’.
The captivating outfit is from the brand, Bloni Atelier and costs around Rs. 25,000 (£247).
The shimmering saree went viral and was styled by Ami Patel who shared pictures of the ensemble on Instagram.
Made from a recycled nylon base, the saree is designed from repurposed degradable faux leather and a metallic parachute.
A sustainable saree fit for royalty certainly took some viewers back and social media was divided over the look.
One fan took to Instagram and comically called Alia’s piece an “aluminium foil dress”.
However many loved the vibrant option, with one user saying:
“She has stolen the show already. Look how pretty she is, I love it.”
Film producer, Rhea Kapoor, also chimed in and simply commented “love” which resonated with most fans.
The gorgeous actress accompanied the saree with only a pair of earrings but the whole ensemble was anything but minimal.
Her hair was flowy and natural, styling it sometimes to the side to reveal her decadent cheekbones.
She opted for a natural base make-up, hues of purple eyeshadow, peach lips and blushed cheeks to round it all off.
The starlet is no stranger to daring pieces and always mixes up her choices for special occasions.
Alia Bhatt was looking glamorous as ever and was in the company of other Bollywood elites.
Surbhi Chandna, Ravi Dubey and Nia Sharma were all in attendance as well as Karan Johar and Hina Khan.
Popular actor, Ranveer Singh, also made an appearance. Sporting a tame yet vibrant black and white outfit, he and Alia were snapped as they enjoyed the bright lights.
Alia was joined by her fellow actors and actresses who also picked up some awards.
Ranveer Singh took home the ‘Popular Actor (Film)’ award whilst Armaan Malik won ‘Best Singer’.
