Twin sisters Aiman and Minal Khan have shared their New Year resolutions on social media.

Aiman posted a photo on Instagram and asked her fans what their resolutions were for the new year.

Her sister Minal commented: “Lose all the pregnancy weight.”

Aiman replied: “Same sis.”

Fans commented on the post and shared their resolutions.

One said: “To be a good human and to make a bigger painting I’ve always dreamt of.”

Another added: “To not miss a single prayer.”

A third commented: “Say goodbye to cousin marriages.”

Aiman gave birth to her second child in August 2023 while Minal gave birth to her first that same year.

In an earlier post, Aiman shared her workout routine with her fans, showing them a snippet of her home workouts.

She said in the caption: “It’s a long journey but I’ve got this. Motherhood is so special, you never realise until you become one.”

The video showed Aiman using a treadmill before making herself a protein drink and showing her fans her dumbbells and yoga mat.

Although the sisters have shared their desire to lose post-pregnancy weight, it is a stark reminder that women feel the pressure to snap back into shape as soon as they have given birth.

Being a celebrity in the public eye means there is more pressure to look good in front of the camera.

Before Minal had shared her pregnancy news on social media, she had received comments on her posts which focused on her weight gain and speculations that she was pregnant.

Similarly, after Aiman gave birth to her eldest daughter Amal, she was body shamed and told to lose weight or risk not being attractive to her husband Muneeb anymore.

Although Aiman did not allow the negativity to affect her, many women would feel hurt after hearing such hurtful comments.

The sisters recently came under fire after Minal posted a photo of them with their mother and newborn babies, standing in front of a Christmas tree.

Fans were not impressed with the picture and many came forward to question their religion, whilst others asked them to focus their attention on the situation in Palestine.

One asked: “Why are you celebrating Christmas? Are you Christians?”

Another said: “They are wearing brands and standing with a Christmas tree. So-called Muslims.”
