Adnan Siddiqui shocked his fans after he uploaded a glimpse of his upcoming series Iqbal E Jurm.
The teaser shows an aged Adnan being taken in for questioning by Aly Khan.
Dressed in a shirt, pants, suspenders and a bow tie, Adnan’s bespectacled appearance adds an eerie touch to his portrayal.
Based on the trailer, it is believed Adnan plays a serial killer who has allegedly murdered 17 children.
He is further questioned about the disappearance of two other children. The trailer ends with Adnan giving an eerie laugh.
Adnan captioned his post: “It is a character that intrigued me to push the envelope, putting to test all that I have learnt as an actor.
“A story that was hair-raising and disturbing.
“Iqbal E Jurm is one meaty role that I loved digging my teeth into. A little sneak peek into what is to come. Watch the space to know when.”

Fans shared their thoughts about the character reveal and although there is a minority who thinks this is not a suitable role for Adnan, the majority said it was nice to see him accept such different roles.
One fan said: “Waiting for this as it seems a freaky subject, and your get-up is just wow.”
Another added:
“Gosh, it looks intriguing. Two of the best actors in one frame.”
This is believed to be the first time that Adnan has accepted such an intense script in which he takes the lead.
He is known for his loveable roles in serials such as Ghughi, Yeh Dil Mera, Maat and Belapur Ki Daayan.
Adnan Siddiqui made his Bollywood debut in the film Mom and worked with Sridevi and Sajal Aly. He also appeared in A Mighty Heart which starred Irrfan Khan and Angelina Jolie.
Adnan admitted that he had occasionally been asked why he worked with women who were half his age and that he should choose scripts that did not see him as a loved-up youngster.
In 2010, Adnan won Best Supporting Actor for his role in Ishq Junoon Deewangi at the Pakistan Media Award.
In 2015, he won Best Actor for Sammi at the Hum Awards.
Although Adnan Siddiqui has been a popular addition to the entertainment industry, he was especially loved for his part in Meray Paas Tum Ho where he plays Shehwar, a rich businessman who becomes involved in an extramarital affair.
The drama starred Humayun Saeed and Ayeza Khan. The story was written by Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar and the popular OST was performed by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan.
