Adel Sajan weds Sana Khan in Luxury Cruise Wedding

The heir of the Danube Group, Adel Sajan has married his childhood sweetheart Sana Khan on a luxury yacht.

Embarking on a spectacular three-day cruise aboard the Costa Fascinosa, the party visited several European nations from Friday 7th April, 2017 to Sunday, 9th April, 2017.

It is thought that over 1,000 guests were invited to the destination wedding.

Among them included Bollywood’s Shilpa and Shamita Shetty, Juhi Chawla, Malaika Arora Khan and Sushmita Sen.

The extravagant wedding was thrown by UAE-based Indian business tycoon, Rizwan Sajan. Sajan sits on the top 100 Indian leaders in the UAE in terms of wealth.

The wedding cruise which also sees 75 Mumbai chefs flown in specially, is inspired by the hit Bollywood film Dil Dhadakne Do, which follows a well-off family on a holiday cruise.

The sangeet took place on Friday 7th April, while the couple officially tied the knot on 8th April.

Each day saw numerous themes as part of the entertainment. Each theme came complete with music, contextual dress codes and exquisite cuisine.

For her wedding day, Sana stunned in a custom-designed Neeta Lulla dress. The white dress also featured a glow-in-the-dark effect.

Interviewed by Gulf News prior to his son’s wedding, business tycoon Rizwan said:

“The wedding of my only son Adel is by far the most awaited event of my life and words cannot express the joy I feel.”

“We have planned a unique celebration for all our guests and have gauged every little detail of the wedding to make it special for the couple.”

Both Shilpa Shetty and Malaika Arora Khan posted pictures of their mini-cruise.

Shilpa posted on her social media: “Water bound for 2 days. Cruising off from Marseilles. Attending our friends Wedding celebrations done unusually. @adelsajan #rizwan.sajan booked out the whole 4 days on this Cruise.”

Malaika showed off an exquisite embellished Shane Peacock thigh-split dress.

The wedding promised to be a spectacle as befits the son of such a famous businessman and his fiancé, and it certainly succeeded.

With many celebrities and businessmen in attendance, Adel Sajan’s wedding to Sana Khan will no doubt top the list for wedding of the century.
