Abhishek Bachchan opened up about his wife Aishwarya Rai’s journey as a mother.
The actor was all praises for Aishwarya’s raising of their daughter Aaradhya.
This came following speculations about marital struggles between the pair.
Recent rumours suggested that Aishwarya had moved out of the family home.
Abhishek shared: “Aaradhya is the centre of our universe. She’s a wonderful child.
“All credit to Aishwarya for being a terrific mother.
“Fatherhood has completely changed my outlook on life.
“Bringing a child into the world changes all your priorities. I am sure every parent would agree.”
Abhishek and Aishwarya married on April 20, 2007. They welcomed Aaradhya on November 16, 2011.
In a 2016 interview, the couple delved into their disagreements within married life.
When asked about how often they have arguments, Aishwarya replied:
“Oh, every day.”
Abhishek Bachchan added: But they’re more like disagreements, not fights.
“They’re not serious, they’re healthy. It’d be really boring otherwise.
“We have a rule – we don’t sleep on a fight.
“And in defence of all men, I want to tell you, half the time the reason we give in and say sorry is because we’re just so sleepy and want to go to bed.
“Besides, women are the superior race, and they’re always right.
“The sooner men accept that, the better. It doesn’t matter what you say.
“Even if you have concrete proof, in their world, it’s futile, it makes no sense.”
The Dhoom star also revealed his awareness of fans wanting him to reunite with his wife onscreen. The pair last worked together in Raavan (2010).
They were scheduled to star together in Gulab Jamun. However, it was reported in 2019 that they had exited the project following issues with the script.
He said: “We get a lot of fan mail asking us to be together again on screen.
“We’d be more than glad to get together.”
In December 2023, news about an emerging rift between the famous couple began when photos of Abhishek were spotted which showed him without his wedding ring.
Furthermore, these rumours intensified when Abhishek posted a picture of his wife on her 50th birthday, accompanied by the succinct caption: “Happy birthday!”
Abhishek was also notably absent from Aishwarya’s birthday celebrations, along with other members of the Bachchan family.
On the work front, Aishwarya Rai was last seen in the Tamil film Ponniyin Selvan: II (2023).
Meanwhile, Abhishek Bachchan last appeared in Ghoomer (2023).
