A further 60 Pakistani nationals have been deported from seven countries, including Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Oman, and Cyprus.
Immigration authorities reported various reasons for these deportations, highlighting ongoing challenges faced by Pakistani citizens abroad.
From Saudi Arabia, seven individuals were deported for blacklisting and overstaying their visas, while 12 were sent back for violating employment contracts.
Four Pakistanis arriving in Oman were sent back due to insufficient funds.
Nine more were deported from Iraq for overstaying and losing their passports.
In the UAE, two faced deportation for immigration violations, and 12 others were sent back for similar reasons.
Additionally, one Pakistani from the Ivory Coast, three from Cyprus, and four fugitive nationals were deported from Qatar.
This wave of deportations follows a previous incident on February 19, 2025, where 20 Pakistanis were expelled from seven different countries.
This included Germany, France, Cambodia, and Brazil.
In Brazil, four Pakistanis sought political asylum but were ultimately deported.
Upon their return to Karachi, they were detained and transferred to the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle (AHTC).
Reports also indicated that four Pakistanis were deported from Saudi Arabia for being blacklisted, while another was sent back for losing his passport.
According to reports, one Pakistani in France requested emergency documentation for his return.
Additionally, three individuals who lost their travel documents in Cambodia, Oman, and Germany were sent back on emergency passports.
In Oman, two Pakistanis were deported for working outside their jurisdiction, and four absconding individuals were sent back from the UAE.
Moreover, one citizen returning from Dubai was found on the blacklist in the Immigration Bureau Management System (IBMS).
Meanwhile, 28 passengers travelling from countries such as Germany, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia were offloaded at Karachi’s airport for various reasons.
Seventeen Umrah pilgrims were removed from flights because they lacked sufficient funds for hotel bookings and travel expenses.
Additionally, some passengers on work visas were also offloaded for not having the necessary documentation.
Between February 15 and 16, 2025, authorities reported that 131 Pakistani nationals were expelled from 12 different countries for various legal violations.
This includes drug offences and unauthorised entry.
Saudi Arabia was a leading contributor, deporting 74 individuals for alleged drug trafficking and breaches of employment agreements.
These incidents illustrate the pressing issues surrounding immigration and the need for better support systems for Pakistani nationals abroad.
