“Onion, garlic and drum sticks too can be used; in fact, they are used for medicinal purposes.

“With hectic work schedule and peer pressure, many are falling prey to eating disorders which can ruin your sex life in long run.”

What better way than sipping luscious red wine to give your time together a relaxed mood. Naturally, if you can get hold of vintage brands like Sassella, Brunellos and a nice French Chateau, it is added to the occasion.

“Healthy balanced foods do mechanically make you geared up and other items like ice creams, whipped cream mentally set the right mood.”

Nimesh Bhattia, Executive Chef, The Lalit Ashok, Bangalore, says:

“Food and sex can change your mood and uplift your desires. Good food touches all the five human senses i.e sight, hearing, touch, smell & taste and so does sex. 

There are many aphrodisiac foods like onion for its herbal properties, garlic for its aphrodisiac qualities and strawberry for its shape.

Coffee-based drinks like Kahlua and Tia Maria are also very effective.

Wine sets the ambience and ablaze your desires.

If I have to select something, it would be lots of chocolates, raspberries, strawberries, wine and roses.”

Not all foods are great for enhancing your sex life.

Romal Singh (Journalist), aged 22, says:

“I love experimenting with food but prefer keeping it unmessy, like for example, the use of fruits would turn me on or a nice dollop of whipped cream.

“Anything oily is a big no as it just makes things too slippery for anyone’s benefit.”

For example, fried, oily, fatty food and rich cream sauces can leave you feeling more sluggish than sexy.

Interestingly, foods that are excessive sugar, salt, saturated fat and highly processed foods are related to frigidity, difficulty reaching orgasm and slowing down sex drive dramatically.

So, it’s best to eat more of the wholesome sexy foods to give your love life a well-deserved boost!
