In a disturbing incident, a Pakistani husband cut off his wife’s nose and ears.

The violent act happened in the Phoolnagar area of Kasur.

A police case was registered after the victim’s brother filed a complaint.

The FIR stated that his brother-in-law cut off the nose and ear of his sister after she refused to give him money.

The victim was swiftly transported to the hospital for urgent medical attention.

Following the incident, the police took immediate action and apprehended two suspects, including the primary perpetrator, Latif.

However, efforts are ongoing to apprehend a third female suspect who remains at large.

In response to the gravity of the situation, Deputy Superintendent of Police Patoki visited the victim’s residence.

He inquired about her well-being and assured her of expedited justice in accordance with the directives of the IG of Punjab.

Amidst these developments, the Inspector General of Police, Punjab, Dr Usman Anwar, praised the swift response of the police team.

They were able to efficiently address the heinous crime on time.

This incident underscored the broader efforts to combat gender-based crimes in Punjab, with initiatives spearheaded by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.

The public is outraged by how often these incidents are taking place.

Earlier, a woman named Shazia was allegedly subjected to similar brutal violence by her husband Sajjad Ahmad.

It resulted in the severing of her nose and shaving of her head following a domestic dispute.

Neighbours intervened and rescued Shazia, who was then rushed to Lahore General Hospital due to severe bleeding.

Shazia reported that her husband frequently subjected her to physical abuse over trivial matters.

This time, the Pakistani husband had attacked her with a plastic pipe and subsequently cut off her nose with a knife.

She underwent a complex facial surgery at the hospital, where doctors provided her with an artificial nose.

On social media, the public demanded severe punishment for such incidents.

A user suggested:

“I can’t believe this has happened again. Maybe this time it happened because Latif was influenced by Ahmad.”

One said: “If only our law was strong enough to protect these women. Latif has been arrested, but her entire life has been ruined.”

Another wrote: “She married him thinking her life was going to be beautiful. Look what the poor soul had to go through.”
