"Racism overpowers common sense.”
An X user has received backlash for her comments about Tesco’s Halal section.
The woman, who goes by the username @TheNorfolkLion on the platform, shared a picture of the display and wrote:
“Shame on you @Tesco. This barbaric practice shouldn’t be allowed in the UK; it’s inhumane and cruel.”
On X, the woman is known as Queen Natalie.
According to her bio, she is “an English, British Patriot. Rule Britannia! Wake up to the narrative”.
Her post led to a lot of criticism in the comments section, with many accusing her of spouting Islamophobia.
Highlighting that Kosher meat involves a similar practice, one asked:
“Would you bring that same energy if it were Kosher?”
Another said: “I’m not even Muslim, but this is so funny, man; these people have NO idea what Halal means.
“The pure necessity for racism overpowers common sense.”
One person pointed out: “The way Halal food is made by killing the animal, the quickest and most painless way possible.
“If the animal doesn’t instantly die and suffered pain, the food is not Halal anymore.
“If that is inhuman, barbaric and cruel to you, you are simply not human. You Brits make me laugh.”

In a follow-up tweet, she said: “To those who keep saying what about Kosher, I’m against anything that doesn’t pre-stun farm animals first.
“Hopefully, this will shut up the bed-wetting lefties and peaceful ones; I doubt it, though.”
Some sided with her view and posted their own nationalist comments, with one X user writing:
“Welcome to Englandistan. Tesco caused an uproar by selling Halal food, but that wasn’t enough.
“Now ASDA has taken it a step further with a live Halal meat counter to make sure they’re not left behind in sales.
“Seems like this is the direction things are going. Thoughts?”
Another opined: “Halal meat should be totally banned in the UK.
“It is barbaric, inhumane and cruel.
“This has no place in westernised society, or in our supermarkets. Shame on Tesco for selling it.”
This Anti-Muslim rhetoric has left the internet in uproar and highlights the issue is still prevalent in England.
This woman is renowned on X for making controversial comments and often expresses her support for Nigel Farage and the Reform Party.
She previously tweeted: “I stand by everything I say and believe, even if it gets me locked up.
