The brand new season of Punjabiwood comedy has seen three plays in total, including Naukar Woti Da, Desi Peo and Paiseyan Di Hera Pheri.
Written and directed by popular Punjabi duo, Jeet and Kaki, Paiseyan Di Hera Pheri is their third offering to Desi audiences across the UK.
The play sees a touch of dark humour, as a dead father’s wealth is squandered by his greedy family. His will is left to them and instead of mourning over the sad death, bicker about who gets how much money.
The father’s spirit watches them sadly, travelling to each of his children’s houses and seeing for himself how much his memory means to them. But then he decides to get his own back and chooses to change the will accordingly!
Audiences can expect to be thoroughly entertained with this haunting Punjabi comedy about wealth and family ties. Punjabi wit is what Jeet and Kaki do best and they are certainly a force to be reckoned with after their first two instalments.
Following the duo’s hugely popular Punjabi comedy plays performed at the Drum, they return with a final helping of Desi humour.
